Indigo Kids - Screen Acting School is a place for kids to come and let their creativity shine, have fun, learn respect, empathy and responsibility and light the way for future generations of performers and filmmakers. Our drama classes cater to children aged 6 to 18, fostering creativity and confidence at every stage. Whether your child is a beginner or has prior experience, we have the perfect class for them.
Indigo Kids was founded by Australian actress Kristy Wright (Home and Away, Something in the Air, Star Wars: Episode III) .Kristy has incredibly fond memories of her own time in acting classes as a child, and her dream is to recreate that same magic for a new generation of young performers.
In today’s fast-paced, screen-saturated world, she believes it's more important than ever to teach kids self-confidence, empathy, and connection. Indigo Kids offers a space where students can put down their phones, step away from digital distractions, and reconnect with each other on a human level.
Acting is an intimate art form — emotionally and physically — and Kristy sees it as the perfect medium for helping young people develop self-respect, awareness, and consent. At Indigo, students are encouraged to honour their own emotions and boundaries, while also learning to respect those of others. They’ll come to understand that every person has a mind and body that feels joy, love, pain, and vulnerability — and that no one person is more important than another.
The ultimate goal is to build a safe, inclusive, and respectful creative community — a place where kids can explore big feelings without shame or judgment. A place where they can be silly, brave, playful, connected, and completely themselves. At Indigo Kids, creating a warm, family-like environment isn’t just a goal — it’s a top priority for everyone who walks through the door.

Through games and group exercises, students learn how to be supportive team players, think quick, and express feelings using their vocal and physical tools, as they have fun living truthfully in their imaginary circumstance.
